Rhode Island Newborn Photographer | Studio Tour

Ta da!

Is it finished?

Nah.

Is there still tons of work to do?

For sho'

Were we sick and tired of waiting to share our beautiful new studio because it wasn't "ready"?

You betcha!

So here you go, folks: feast your eyes on our Pinterest-meets-functionality inspired studio space! We moved down the street from our previous spot in West Warwick and are loving our new digs! More space means more room for creativity as well as being able to have multiple setups and backdrops prepped and ready for sessions. Without further adieu, allow me to show you around!

Comfort is Key

Since many of our clients are expecting or new moms, it was very important to us to create a comfortable and welcoming waiting area. A mellow waiting area stocked with snacks and refreshments was essential. We also created a sweet little spot for siblings to quietly play with toys and books, as well as a changing table complete with wipes, diapers, and other essentials!

Baskets and Buckets and Bowls, oh my!

I feel confident in the assumption that most studio photographers dream of the perfect storage solutions for their many props. We are no exception! Breanna and I lusted over the PAX System from IKEA for months leading up to our move. Toss in a pandemic and nationwide shortages of nearly everything (Swedish home amenities included), tracking down all the bits and pieces to build our ideal system meant waiting on many in stock lists, traveling to several IKEAs across New England, and several "rebuilds" of the system. BUT- after all of that- all of our pieces have finally been installed!

Looking for advice on the PAX system? As Daddy Pig would say "I'm a bit of an expert." Shoot me a message and I'm happy to give you some tips!

The Baby Station

One of the other things that was super important to us in planning out our new space was ensuring everything needed for newborn posing was within arms reach of our newborn table. Being able to reach and see everything we have makes sessions flow very smoothly! Also- I am a sucker for an aesthetically pleasing/ color coded work space- especially when it comes to all our beautiful handmade props!
