It's so nice to meet you! I'm a wife to my wonderful husband Greg, mother to my wildly creative boy Crosby and my feisty loving girl Norah. I’m also a sister, a daughter, and a photographer. I love my coffee every morning, looking for magic in everyday life, cherishing all the moments of motherhood, celebrating the imperfectly perfect, and dancing to my own drum each and every day.
I was never a huge fan of newborn photos until I had my son, Crosby. I fell head over heels in love with him and all he did was sleep! Since I couldn't stand to waste any time not taking pictures of him, I invested in a camera so that I could capture every single thing about him. I didn't have much experience photographing people or even photography for that matter, but I just loved how beautiful newborns were and thought it would be fun to give it a try. I learned by watching other photographers and doing tons of research on photography as well as posing techniques.
My experience as a mother has certainly inspired me to pursue a career as a photographer. My children are one of the reasons I chose to focus on newborns, maternity, and families. And I've always felt a feeling of urgency with my own children, the significance of chronicling life right now. The importance of catching my children today rather than tomorrow. I've realized that babies develop wings and learn to fly before we're ready to let them go. As a result, I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to give the gift of memories. It's the closest thing we have to a gift of time.
