Newborn Photographer in Rhode Island: Capturing Precious Moments

When planning to welcome your new baby into the world, there are hundreds of questions that might run through your mind, including what should I name my child? What will their personality be like? When will they stop crying? But one question you probably didn’t ask yourself was who should take their first photo? A quick Google search will likely bring up several recommendations of professionals who specialize in newborn photography – but which ones are the best? Here’s what you need to know about hiring the best newborn photographer in Rhode Island!

Why families choose me as their photographer

As a newborn photographer in RI, I’m highly trained in safety practices and have taken several hours of CPR training. Because babies are often presented with something new, it is important that their parents feel safe and comfortable. For that reason, I offer private newborn photography sessions in my studio where I have all of my equipment set up beforehand and can address any needs or questions that may arise.

What to wear? How to prepare

Families often don’t realize that clothes have a profound effect on photo quality. That’s why it’s important to wear neutral colors without bold prints or patterns. If a family wears neutral colors and classic styles, they will make it easier for me to do my job, which is to create beautiful images that you will love and cherish for years. They will also make it easier for you to choose photographs because everyone looks nice and relaxed in their clothes.

Where will we take pictures?

All newborn sessions take place in my studio in West Warwick, RI. My studio provides an inviting and calming environment, designed specifically to help infants fall asleep quickly for their portraits.

What props should I bring?

You don’t need to bring any props as I have extensive options in studio. I can help you decide on what pictures are best suited for your family and tell you why I recommend a particular setting or prop. My clients often opt to bring some of their own accessories (such as favorite toy, stuffed animal, baby blanket etc.) but there is absolutely no pressure to do so. You can always email me or contact me via phone before hand to go over any questions or concerns you may have about your session.
